Our Policies

No-show & Late Policy

We, at C Anthony Animal Hospital, understand that sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. However, when you do not call in advance to cancel your appointment you may be preventing another pet from getting much needed treatment.

A veterinary-client relationship is built on mutual trust and respect. As such, we strive to be on time foryour scheduled appointment and ask that you give us a call when you are unable to keep your appointment. As a courtesy, we provide reminder texts and a phone call before your appointment for confirmation.

Late Arrival Policy

We make every effort to be on time for all our appointments. Unfortunately, if one appointment arrives late, it can delay our schedule for that day. We want to ensure that every patient receives the best quality of care from our team, therefore, if you arrive 15 minutes or more past the scheduled appointment, you will be asked to reschedule. If you call and let us know that you will be 15 minutes or more late to your appointment, you will also be asked to reschedule. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

Cancellation of an Appointment

In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, we ask that you call our office promptly if you are unable to make your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you call at least 4 hours in advance. If you do not call within this time frame, we consider this a missed appointment. Appointments are in high demand, and an early cancellation will allow another patient access to timely veterinary care. If it is after hours, please leave a message on the clinic voicemail.

Missed Appointment Policy

We consider a missed appointment as a client who creates an appointment and does not show up for their scheduled time. A cancellation that is not at least 4 hours in advance will also be considered a missed appointment. Failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in the patient’s chart as a missed appointment.

If 2 missed appointments are recorded, a $50 appointment reservation fee will be obtained before each subsequent appointment created. The fee would be applied towards the appointment. If you miss the appointment after the $50 reservation fee has been collected, the fee will not be returned. In addition, if you have paid the reservation fee and should need to cancel/reschedule the appointment that is not 4 hours in advance, the fee will not be returned. The scheduling fee will need to be paid again in order to schedule another appointment. Thank you for your understanding!

Same-day Urgent Care Appointments

We are happy to offer same-day urgent care appointments that are a first-call basis. If your pet is feeling unwell and needs to be seen, please give us a call. These appointments do require a $75 reservation fee that will be paid over the phone using a credit or debit card. This fee will be applied to the invoice that day. If the client fails to show up for the appointment, the advance payment will be forfeited and there will be no refund. The same-day urgent care appointments are not for life-threatening emergencies. These type of appointments will be referred to NIVES.

Drop-off Wellness Exams

We offer drop-off wellness exams that can be scheduled ahead of time. Whether your schedule does not permit a regular appointment or our schedule is full, we can accommodate a drop-off wellness appointment where your pet will be examined between scheduled appointments. We will always update you by phone as to the status of your pet’s appointment and treatment plan. Drop-off appointments are scheduled on on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

New Clients

We welcome new clients! New clients will need to call and set up an account with us as well as an appointment time. A $50 reservation fee will need to be paid over the phone with a credit or debit card to reserve the appointment. This fee will be applied to the services performed on the day of the appointment. If the client fails to show up for the appointment, the advance payment will be forfeited and there will be no refund.  If you need to reschedule this appointment, we ask that you give us at least a 4 hour notice. If a 4 hour notice is not given, the fee will be forfeited.
